89.9% of Iraqi's wants Americans out and support the insurgency. But the US can't withdraw because that would leave a vacuum.

So Bush stays on killing "terrorists" would are mostly Iraqi nationals who hate the idea of American occupation.

Sounds like a quagmire to me and no where near a "noble" cause.

No wonder the rest of the world won't touch it with a ten foot pole.

The reasons we were given for the invasion all turned out to be a crock. We were told Iraq posed an "imminent" threat to the United States because of its WMDs and potential nuclear capabilities. So why are we there if none of the threats existed? How is it directly benefitting the United States? I know it is benefitting Haliburton and other energy types, but who else... I thought Osama bin Laden was the guy that threatened America, how come he gets off easy? In fact, invading Iraq, imo, played right into his hands, considering Iraq is now world central for terrorist training...
