I totally agree ... it is absurd. Why don't they work on creation of wealth instead? Could it be a way to justify their existence and garner votes from the masses of beneficiaries. I can see it now ... the Campaign Platform Slogan could be named ....

Vote for Your Free Lunch (We will Tax The Producers .. They are Buying !!)

Further thought ... if they Tax them .. the accountants will say .. Hey Pass that Cost on to the Consumer.

I'll never understand the philosophy I guess. It's a Twist on Robin Hood.

How about we Vote for a Tax on Wasteful Government Spending ... and Give that Tax to the Poor who can't pay their heating bills ??

Who will bring a bill like that to the floor ?? I'd Vote for that in a Heart Beat.
