In two days of hunting I never lost sight of my cabin. Except when in the canyons. But on the hillside I could watch it if I wished. Three miles away. Looking down from the ridge line. Above my place. I hike ravines with water basins still wet from rain. Oak leaves and acorns Mushrooms and rose hips Pinon nuts popping from ripened cones Cactus thick and full from autumn rains Tall grasses heavy with thick stocks Seeds fallen to the ground from thunderstorms wind Sagebrush heavy with seed pods ripening And then sit and watch the valley below for hours And listen to the wind blow and the birds call I love to hunt. Its all in your attitude.
