Nope. And I never watched the movie, so I was not sure that she did. If the character did, I guess the studio was afraid their audience wouldn't "get it" if they didn't lay it out for them. Remember, this was a "black" term.

We have to remember that the movie was made in 1949, for an all-white audience.

kholt, I'm not sure she did call herself Pinky, but that she was called that by those that knew of her black background. The description of the movie on IMDb is in the link below.
