I don't think the framers of the Constitution had any idea that we might have a welfare society. <g>

You are correct that the Commerce Clause was in the Constitution and that it is the most abused clause in the Constitution. The fact remains that if we were return to the enumerated powers of the founding fathers, ours would be a more perfect union.
