I didn't say that. I didn't speak of combat ready battallions. I tried to ask about overall forces instead. Bottom line though on your issue, is that it seems to me that either the battalions were NOT ready in June as reported, or they ARE ready now despite the more recent report. There is no way, I think, that we should believe Battallions were actually ready in June, but those same ones aren't now. At least I'd need to see quite a detailed explanation as to how they came to deteriorate in the meantime, before believing Iraqi forces have decreased. Therefore I have to say, barring such evidence, that it is ridiculous to say Iraqi forces have decreased...unless one wants to throw worthless mud around.
