Thanks. Bear in mind however at least two people think I am nuts and one of them called me a "leftist" or something like that when I am advocating free trade and generally I would think would be the opposite of what leftists would think.

Oh well.
I am glad some people like it.

The Americans you met in cottage country are not necessarily those who put Bush in power. Bush's supporters are those many hard-core Americans who have never ever left the US, or even their own home towns. Bush somehow can really click with their hearts<g>
