Why take sides when we don't need to? A lot of Israel's problems are of their own making. There are actually more Muslims living in the US now than Jews, they just aren't as rich or as organized.

I don't think it will come to a nuclear exchange. Iran has no bombs, and last report I read from the IAEA says they're about a decade from getting one. It would be good to see Israel solve some of it's neighbor problems on it's OWN for a change. We should condemn Iran's statements, but otherwise stay OUT of it.

I wouldn't worry. This may give Bush just the kind of rabble-rousing opportunity he's looking for. He'll come through for you. I think our "alliance" with Isreal has been bad for us over the years. It's very expensive in all kinds of ways, and we get nothing but trouble and grief out of it. Think of how many American Presidents have labored over it - it's just not worth it. I'd much rather see us put that kind of effort into raising Mexico's fortunes.

re: Among the Muslims in the Middle East, their beliefs and customs are very foreign to Western culture. They have very little freedom, suppress their women, and have a backward culture. Putting political correctness aside for just one moment, we have to ask ourselves, do we really want this type of culture to dominate our world? I sure as hell hope it never does. We'd all live in the hell the Middle East Muslims have made for themselves. That would be a life not worth living.

How do you make the jump to them "dominating the world". All the US Christians are going to be bowing to Mecca twice a day, LOL. We could smoke them on a moments notice... no way they are a threat to us.

Bush policy, especially energy policy, is making them stronger, but "dominate the world"? China maybe... nobody in the middle east is worth a second thought.
