Kerry came out with the right plan today (as usual he is almost always right). Start drawing down troops immediately and pare them down by 20,000 per quarter for the next year or more. 20,000 at least home by Xmas this year. Forving the cowardly Iraqis to take their places in the field. Many experts, including rightwing experts, have concluded that the US troops very presence in Iraq is causing much of the turmoil, and giving Osama and his creepo friends the best recruiting tool they ever had. As occupiers we become the villains which also makes Osama's crazed predictions come true. Plus, our troops are over-taxed and deserve to come home. The Bush-Cheney plan for Iraq was a mistake, a bad mistake, a collosal mistake. No one should be dying for that mistake if we can help it. Even conservatives should agree on this now. The evidence is in.
