By the way, I had been trying to take a position in the Jim Rogers International Commodity Index (Jim Rogers of Jim Rogers fame) through my Schwab IRA. Schwab usually gives good service but this goes through their Alternate Investments Department which botched it badly last Aug (Don't recall seeing your paperwork, can you re-send....the form was just changed.....)

There's only a brief window to get in (the last 5 trading days of the month) so I had all my ducks in a row for the end of Sep. However, oil (which makes up 35% of the fund) spiked at the end of Sep so I instructed them to hold on until Oct window.

Everything submitted in mid-Oct but sent back to me by their agent, Atrium, telling me that they could not process my application due to Refco fiasco. Refco had been executing some of their trades. According to the letter, current account holders were locked into their position pending engagement of a new partner. Sounded ugly, I'm taking the entry problems as a sign and am looking around for other commodities funds. Any suggestions?
