They should have come up with a better public reason for the withdrawal....I mean, didn't anyone foresee that since she had no record the work she did for the President would be of great interest..maybe absolutely needed? Charles Krauthammer wrote this exact exit strategy last week.

I think she was absolutely dead in the water, but this is a clumsy exit, following a clumsy entrance and clumsy senate visits.
