What can I say. That's what the General said. The battallions fell below the readiness threshold according to his description of it. He did not elaborate on it except to say that at this time there was only one battallion that was able to operate independently of US troops. About 300 men. That two of the three Battallions that were mentioned in the June hearings were no longer considered ready. It's a readiness issue. It concerns equipment and training.

But what I find unbelievable about it is that even if it's three Battalions, that's only 900 men ready to serve their country without the help of US troops. After 2.5 years, I give that effort a failing grade. Especially in the light that now, only 300 men remain ready.
