When Americans bomb your embassy, fly spy planes up close and personal and threaten to attack if a wayward province is brought under federal control, it's not surprising that there's a spot of xenophobic anti-Americanism burgeoning in the barracks.

<But difficulty in Sino-American relations is no mere paranoia among hard-line congressmen in Washington. Chinese officials and U.S. diplomats admit that the love affair with America by ordinary Chinese ended more than a decade ago, replaced by a worrisome anti-Americanism. The United States is not much better loved in Beijing than it is in Paris. >

Meanwhile, Iran is making like Adolf. Iran's head of state says Israel should be wiped off the map.

Interesting that China and Iran are mates.

I guess the old battle-lines are being drawn.

When I look at the two sides and wonder in which I'd rather live and under which rule I'd rather suffer, Helengrad and King George II's empire are harsh rulers, but not as bad as those places. In most respects anyway, though the USA and NZ are too repressive for my liking, though not repressive enough in other ways; such as allowing rampant crime from littering, graffiti and burglary, to murder.
