I can see your viewpoint and it's very interesting but isn't that just the problem we have in the ME? American companies go to a place like Saudi Arabia and have their employees (women for example) act like Americans with all the rights (like the right to drive) American employees have?

After all, if we demand that other countries have our standard of living before we do business there, then we're not doing business in most places.

I have a basic problem with the idea that low level work, for example rote manufacturing, should be outsourced to other countries because Americans are too sophisticated to do that kind of work. I believe that basic premise is wrong. I believe it's wrong because I believe people are pretty much the same everywhere and there are some Americans who need to do rote manufacturing for a living.
