Now, my question is this: Did Ahmadinejad speak out of turn, or were the Mullahs so cocky that they okayed the speech, confident that the supine Western press would not dare to make a fuss?

Considering it was followed up by a "senior cleric" saying it was every Muslim's duty to see to it Israel is destroyed, my money is on "so cocky".

Does it make any difference? The Mad Mullahs did not disavor the speech which, given the nature of its content, is the same thing as endorsing it.
