You may just get your wish. Barring the invasion of another country the Defense Budget "should" drop significantly once we're out of Iraq. Though conservatives will have a lot of difficulty understanding that relationship. ... sic, they think Bush is building the military because we're spending a lot more money.

You'll have to have more patience for the remainder of the cuts. We're in so much debt with far more in future liabilities that there won't be any other choice than to have drastic cuts in discretionary spending.

Then we can watch the DoD-Industrial complex turn to the retail and food industry for jobs.
