Ignorance is no defense. Ever been in traffic court? "Gee, I didn't know the speed limit was only 55". Think any judge would listen to that BS? Anyway, of course they knew she was covert. And Fitzgerald will make sure of it. Telling me Cheney didn't know who she was when he told Libby? If so, then Cheney isn't equipped to be VP because he's so careless he wouldn't ask if a CIA agent is covert or not. Simply the fact she's CIA means there's a good chance she's covert. Besides, Cheney had clearances and had access to that information. So of course CHeney would know that. The Bushies are going to try to lie, spin and deflect their way out of this just like DElay is trying to do, but it's not going to work. This time, they're up against Elliot Ness of the courtroom. Fitzgerald is tough, non-partisan and thorough. He's also not afraid of them. He's already taken down the Gotti's and next has the Chicago Daley machine on his mind, though Daley's crimes will be petty compared to lying to the nation to take us into war.
