Here's just a partial list of securities industry entities that have been nailed in the past few years:

- Mutual funds
- Hedge funds
- Banks that reward favored clients with IPO shares
- Financial analysts who pumped stocks they privately reviled
- TV commentators and writers who shilled for companies
- Stock newsletter writers who didn't disclose
- CEOs who used their companies as personal bank accounts
- CFOs who cooked the books
- Accounting firms that looked the other way
- Celebrities who obstructed insider trading investigations
- Message board posters who traded against their advice
etc.

Is there any facet of the securities industry that has gotten away unscathed?
