On a slightly different note, everybody knows the name Machiavelli and believe to know what he stands for but amazingly few have ever read his little but important book "Il Principe". Highly recommendable reading, Ted. I've read excerpts........has the entire book been printed in English? "The Prince" is not very thick at all, closer to a pamphlet. Of course it has been published in English, many times. Mostly it comes with more comments that the original text to make it worthwhile for the publisher to charge a higher price. Taro
