Just had a friend point out that the problem with the CIA coup theory is that Tenet passed on the info to Cheney and referred the "outing" to justice but he was part of the CIA that referred to the Iraqi WMD's existence as a "slam dunk". So for the CIA coup theory to work, it has to be a group within CIA acting through Tenet, who would not have been supportive of their efforts. Could be still possible but seems a little inconsistent on face value.
