Did you notice that Scooter left the White House on crutches. Perhaps Karl and Andy gave Scooter a taste of what might happen if he squelled? I feel sorry for the next Supreme Court nominee. First, he/she knows that Miers was more qualified [according to Bush]. Second, Miers was Bush's friend and personal lawyer for years ... What kind of support could the second nominee expect to get from Bush if there's a problem? Miers couldn't even get to the committee hearing stage. Bush might drop #2, before the ink is dry. jttmab
