I don't know about gold. I don't like it because I don't understand it. Mostly for historical reasons, it has a fallowing that ignores basic supply and demand rules, and that distorts things.

On the other hand, currencies I can understand...or at least I understand better. And everything points to USD not being a good investment. So I am moving out of USD as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

Just by converting to Canadian dollar I have made more money since invasion of Iraq than most people did trading stocks...even trading the winning stocks. Canadian dollar, imo, remains a good place to park one's money...I am not as positive about Euro, but these days anything is better than USD.
