Party of the people vs. party of the big corporate fat cats

Pretty clear that's the case. Look at Bush-Cheney-DElay's record. All they ever do is reward big corporate cronies, mainly polluters and gas gougers.

Of course the religious right's unholy alliance with the corporate crooks gives the GOP their 35% base. But who in their right mind wants the religious right running things? Remember Schiavo.
