In fact, there was a big row over how the private collections can be distributed in Palo Alto. Every year, Palo Alto parents collect millions of dollars to give to the local schools. North PA is a fair bit richer than South PA, and their respective contributions were representative of that fact. When the school district said that a contribution to a PA school was a contribution to all PA schools, the "northerners" were irate.

The private collections are a massive yearly event in those areas that can afford it -- Palo Alto, Cupertino, Los Altos, Mountain View, Saratoga, Los Gatos, and parts of San Jose. The difference between school districts that do and don't is noticeable. However, it's not easy to separate the fact that the schools have money from the fact that these parents value education and are involved with their children.

>>>>The fully endowed foundations, endowments and annual fund-raising over the past decade or more - which which take place in Orinda, Lafayette and other areas of the State of California are the only thing which maintains the educational standards in these wealthy areas.<<<<

Pretend I'm form Idaho and show me.

>>>You don't value education, so why not move to a Third World nation like Mexico which more closely shares your value system?<<<<

I suppose asking you to grow-up falls on deaf ears.
