Its a great hobby, but if you go much higher than the MS 65 on the older coins, you'll find yourself spending a lot of coin. ;-)

Morning, John! Great on the gold and platinum coins. It's good that you have some of them graded and certified by NGC. PCGS is another good grading company.

I wasn't sure from you post if all of them are graded. If you have some raw, you might eventually send them in and get graded. That could help you sell them in the future and it certainly would help protect them. Don't go getting fingerprints on them pretty things! (g)

I have a complete set of the platinum coins, all denominations and all years, except 05, all PCGS MS69. I have about 2/3's of the entire set of gold eagles, all PCGS MS69.

I have a small collection of a variety of old gold. Now that is fun. I think Murray has some numismatic blood in him. We need him to get in here and tell us some things. I've been buying some old $20 Saints and Libertys the past few months since gold got back in action.
