<<The bulk of Muslims are against Israel (polls in the ME show this consistently)>>

This is new? They have tried to wipe Israel off the map a number of times.

The mideast has always been so unstable to speak of it being destabilized now is nonsense.

We are fighting islamic terrorists in Iraq rather than here and that's a good thing.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan - since the Iraq war - have been actively working with us on our side of this conflict. Heard a great interview with George Friedman (of Stratfor and author of America's Secret War) on the radio this afternoon. He made the point SA had been defacto neutral toward AQ in the past because they believed the US wouldn't fight. What made the change was seeing the US was not afraid to put troops on the ground and fight. That despite the fact SA strongly opposed the Iraq war beforehand.

"The bulk of Muslims are against Israel (polls in the ME show this consistently) and more and more the polls show the citizens of the ME are against the US too." Your mistake is to think any of that is new. Don't you remember the news reports of Arabs celebrating after 911? Which I would remind you occurred long before the Iraq war you blame for ill will toward the US.

"The Saudis are "friendly" compared to what will come next in Saudi Arabia." You are predicting SA will be overthrown by AQ?

The liberal mindset is we should never fight anyone in hopes they won't hate us so much.
