The CIA told Cheney about Plame. If they did not tell him she was covert, then it's his own fault for not asking. Any agent in WMD during war-time is likely to have a highly-classified ID and CHeney should have assumed such. Cheney would have to be completely out of it to not realize her ID was classified. The question is, what did he tell Libby to do with her name, and to the Wilsons. Smear them? Destroy them? What? And what was it Cheney and Libby (with Rove's help) were trying so hard to cover up? As if we don't know.
