So true and you can say the same thing for folks in NYC, DC and Boston. Dumb luck with many winners and losers. I have relatives in NYC who made out like bandits while some unfortunate to live in upstate NY or Pittsburg still feel as poor as those just starting out today in their 20's. Still no one is forcing those in bubble markets to buy there today. They do have the choice of renting or moving to a much lower cost area.
