"Whispering campaigns linking Ann Richards with lesbians, etc."

And the drug use and her falling off the wagon. These were the things that made me develop a strong dislike for Bush. Ok, politics are often hardball, but to make stuff up wholesale...

We now know Reagan was slipping into Alzheimer's in his second term - did the chimp have a concealed stroke?

I suspect its drugs, not a stroke. He works out too much to have heart problems.

His reported intense irritability with staffers; his unwillingness to look at the news and see what's happening; the amount of free time they give him to play. All that suggests drugs to me. Besides, I never bought off on the notion he gave up drinking because of God. It would make more sense that he found a prescription drug which gave him the same benefits as alcohol without the stigma attached.

On another note, I have to wonder what his father really thinks of him. If its true the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, then he probably loves what his son is doing. But that's not what it sounds like. I have to say.......I voted for Bush I in 1992. If it were to come up again, I would never ever vote for a Bush ever again. I have to believe I am not the only one that feels that way and that Bush II's administration name has tarnished the family name.
