Unless Fitz sees Cheney as the ultimate target, I think they'll settle before the trial. And even if Cheney were the target, Fitz might very well decide that it's best that the country not know what happened. I believe that's what happened with Nixon. Resign and a pardon and the country will not have to go through the ordeal of knowing the full extent of what Nixon was doing. The country will think it's just a bungled burglary and coverup. jttmab
