You used to be sporting to spar with, but when you fell into the predictable pattern of Republicans are evil and Democrats are all good because you refuse to see clearly you became a bore. I never said all Republicans are bad and all Dems are good. On the contrary, there are bad and good in both parties. The problem with the GOP is that the party itself has become corrupted. Instead of challenging a presidency that needs to be challenged, they have done everything they can to enable this presidency. That's not in the best interest of the country. You keep trying to find the few cases of Republicans who are persecuted for minor ethical lapses by the liberal media establishment. You ignore the vast number of Democrats who with the help of the liberal media establishment escape to repeat and intensify their improprieties. I have yet to see any post in which you decry the election fraud perpetrated on Washington State by Democrats in the last gubernatorial election. I don't think it was election fraud........neither did the GOP judge who reviewed the case. Only you and some WA state GOPers think that. I can't help that you all see evil where there is none. And btw, its not a few cases of lapsed Republicans. The numbers are quite surprising and new ones get reported every day. San Diego, a bastion of the Republican party, has a City Council with a revolving door. They are going for their third mayor in less than two years because the other two mayors had to quit over ethics charges and are under investigation. That's becoming typical of what's happening nation wide. Its unbelievable.....one of the House leaders, Tom Delay, is good friends with Mr. Abramoff who is accused of all kinds of things including assassinating some guy in FLA. There is something to the adage that birds of a feather flock together. The reality which you cannot see is that humans are inherently susceptible to ethical lapses. Both parties are filled with humans. The saying is "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." Only fools believe as you do that their party is all filled with girl scouts and the other is filled with heinous axe murderers. Yes, I think there are corrupt individuals in both parties but I think its much worse in the GOP. Furthermore, the GOP controls all three branches of the gov't, making any corruption much more dangerous. When you post a thing like “then NY Times” is conservative, you appear to be a fool to the 80% of the people to the right of the Times, and to the 15% between you and the Times. You probably get a pass from the majority of the people who think you are kidding. You have a very narrow view of the world. You think you are the center and that 80% of the American people are either with you, or right of you. You believe that because of the way politics have gone in the past few years. However, I think you are wrong. 9/11 threw this country's psyche out of joint. People allowed themselves to be led to places that are not typical for Americans. I think that is all changing now. I think Americans have woken up to the mess that Bush has created. And now the polls reflect much more my POV. I think I am much closer to the center than you are. And I think next year will be a transitional year where big changes will take place.
