You stated that you a Saddam style government was fine with you. You just didn't realize that what you were looking for was what SADDAM had.

No I did not..

Saddam's form of government was very much one of tribe on tribe, and based very much on the "Mafia" style of "families"..

And it was primarily in FAVOR of Sunni interests (although there were also Shi'ite and Christian Ba'th party members).

In case you hadn't recently noticed, it's the Sunni who feel they lost power to the Shia and they're scared about "blowback" related to their previous oppression of them.. (along with the fact that the Shi'a control 80% of the countries oil production now).

The only government I would be in favor of might be along the lines of Jordan's constitutional monarchy.. where the King has the right to dissolve the legislature when it fails to conform to the people's will and needs, or preserve social order..

But it's hard to find benevolent dictators..
