Hi EKS,

I gave IBM some thought and thought they are a possibility. IBM could integrate Sun easily but there is alot of overlap. Sun's valuable assets are their software and possibly their future chip designs. That would put IBM in a very dominant position against the other U.S. hardware companies (i.e., HPQ, Dell). I even think it would pass antitrust concerns.

Google is more of a content and distition and highly doubt they would want to get bogged down with the hardware side of Sun. Google will cherry pick the best of the hardware companies and it is good to see that they are aligning themselves with Sunw. I also believe the Alcatel announcement is a good harbinger of things to comes in the telecome space. Time will tell.

If you remember the horse Alydar he was an excellent closer but he could not beat Affirmed. I hope Sun has better luck.
