I see Alito being confirmed. The only scenario I see that would stop him is some Republican Senators distancing themselves from Bush by voting against him. This could only be Republican Senators that are in pro-choice majority states, and are pro-choice already.

Arlen Specter might have been one of these, except Alito is from Pennsylvania and he and Specter are good friends, so, forget Specter. A huge, losing fight by the Dems will just take the spotlight off all of the chimp's recent troubles, which is no doubt what is intended. I don't think the chimpistration really cares about Roe V. Wade one way or another, except at election time.
