Quit trying to justify Bush-Cheney's Iraq policy. It's obviously dishonest and incompetent. No one is arguing that others weren't also concerned about Saddam. He was always a menace and potential threat, but never an imminent or immediate threat (with nukes within 6 months) as they claimed. And unless he were, it's no excuse whatsoever for rushing in there so poorly equipped for the aftermath. You're also trying to avoiud the fact that Bush-Cheney and his people actively lied about why we had to go in, plus spinning BS like that Iraqi oil was going to pay for the whole war and intimidating and supressing any critics. The real tragedy is that we didn't take our time and debate this fully. If we had, we would have found no need to invade and occupy.
