Still, there was a time when the newscasts went beyond whoever was issuing the press release. When they actually forced you to think.

On the other hand, this is exactly what leads to charges/countercharges of bias...

There was also a time when the news organizations all had their own investigative reporters out investigating. Now, they've got press release readers with expensive hair. The investigative reporting has been outsourced to the 60 Minutes type shows.

Are there any reporters left in Iraq that leave the Green Zone without a convoy? They report what the military tells them, and even that can't make the news look good!
