"Thinking individuals have built in automatic error detection and correction" I hope you are not talking about yourself here. You make more mistakes than anyone else I can think of on SI. My personal opinion is that it is because that because you know you meant, you think everyone else should automatically get it. It's a sign of pride, or senility, or of people in your personal life not clueing you in, being honest enough to let you know when your grammar sucks bad enough as to make what you're saying unintelligible. Or maybe you can speak but just not type well. Either way it's laborious to wade through your posts and try to guess what you meant to say. "A bag of hammers does not have automatic error detection and correction." LOL!! You said it.
