"I am wondering about another issue...will Fitz let scooter make a deal?"

Probably. If Fitzgerald is the kind of prosecutor I think he is, the whole yellowcake from the Niger deal has to have thrown up all kinds of red flags. Look at the way this has been handled. Italy is involved, the total degree isn't known. Italy tried to get the US interested on several occasions, but the CIA wouldn't pass it on up, they decided the document was a fake. And that shouldn't have been hard, the people and dates in the document were clearly wrong, one mentioned Niger official had been out of office for a decade. Once they were exposed as forgeries, the FBI rather half-heartedly looked into the matter and decided they weren't going to find anything. So they didn't. And the Congress looked into the matter, but explicitly avoided the question of where the document came from. And so on.

Anybody who respects the law is going to be interested in what actually happened. And if it means letting Scooter off the hook, so be it. There are bigger fish to fry. And much, much more important ones.

What kind of a deal? Plead to say, 4 counts for a reduced sentence and save the time and cost of trial; or turn in other folks and walk? Which do you mean?
