The "activism index" for all SC judges who have been there since 1994 :

Thomas 65.63 %
Kennedy 64.06 %
Scalia 56.25 %
Rehnquist 46.88 %
O’Connor 46.77 %
Souter 42.19 %
Stevens 39.34 %
Ginsburg 39.06 %
Breyer 28.13 %

So Ginsburg is nowhere near the top when it comes to overruling laws passed by the legislature. Thomas, Kennedy and Scalia take the first three prizes.

Notice how oil prices went down as soon as Senators and congressman started promising to investigate gouging. The thieves are trying to take the money and run again. Same thing they did when Jeffords switched parties giving Democrats subpoena powers. Once the Dems regain congress and Bush-cheney are gone, oil prices will slide further.
