I think the upcoming earnings call would be a great place for the Q to announce

1) Increase in dividend;
2) Increase in share buyback; and
3) Special dividend to all individual shareholders to recoup recent losses due to the Gang of 6 frivolous lawsuit.

I could say this behavior reminds me of a certain political party, but I think I'll reserve my comments for a different thread. The future is impossible to predict. QUALCOMM is run by mortal men who have played by the rules. There will always be those who wish to break the rules or make new rules. They expect everyone to play by them or they will try to destroy them. And they DO NOT, and will not ever understand the meaning of the word no.

If QCOM were to incorporate a provision into its licensing agreements such as u suggest, & licensees sign them, it would be probative evidence of QCOM monopolistic practices, which QCOM would not want. For contract to be enforceable, u want evidence of bargaining going on, & not an illusory contract where the licensee is forced to agree to a provision to which no rationale licensee would agree. If u'r a licensee, & u perceive the licensor is not living up to its side of the bargain, u wanna be able to assert u'r claims w/o incurring huge penalties upon u'r businesses that rely upon such license.
