I was against the war... my, you are hard of hearing. I'm not responsible for what ails this idiotic, illegal, inane and incompetently run war. That's the balliwick of those who supported the war. What do you mean? Are you on the same planet. Marital law was imposed during the election when no private vehicle could operate. The whole country was shut down in order to have security. What reality do you live in? There's shoot to kill and all kinds of silliness going on now. It's enough to exacerbate the situation and kill civilians but it's not enough to provide security for reconstruction and law and order to take hold. What is up with you rightwingers? S*** or get off the blooming pot you weenies. For the umpteenth time, the Iraqi voting has incredibly irregularities. You do understand that don't you? Those 7 votes by a single individual don't bother you? Why is that? Don't you believe in true democracy or are you fine with just the sham version of it. THINK. My solution is one of two options: get out or put in more troops to provide absolute security. With those troops, however, come the draft, the resignation of Bush, Cheney et al and an admission of the lies that led to war. We're not going to have more troops so the solution is to get the heck out. We used to have 3 batallions supposedly ready to fight independently and that suddenly went down to 1. 1, in all this time and there's no indication whatsoever that Iraq's security forces aren't riddled with insurgents. For goodness sakes, the Brits were fighting to get their undercover guys out of the police station. For goodness sakes. Are you kidding? There is already a civil war, and it's a war for POWER and MONEY and only marginally for religion, between the Sunnis and the Shiites. Mix in some Kurds and some of the neighbors and you have...IRAQ. Don't you get it? Don't you understand? This is human nature. You topple a government and you create a power vacuum. You tell the ruling middle class that they are evil and that their pensions and their jobs are wiped out forever and they will have no future in their own country. Into this power vacuum comes what? FIGHTING. That's basic human nature not the idiocy of Wolfowitz's flags and flowers. AQ isn't going to take over Iraq no matter how much Bush jumps up and down and tries to get it to take over Iraq so that he can install dictatorship in the US of A. WE can't take over iraq and we have troops and equipment and WE can't get a hold of it. If you're worried about Hitler, then you should be terrified about the radical rightwing of the Republican party. That's much more terrifying because it comes under the guise of militant pseudo christianity but it's just as totalitarian and just as evil. THINK.
