Wrong. I would be in the fight AGAINST monarchy and with the French. You OTOH would be with King George and the majority of colonists who were with the Brits.

No you wouldn't.. Hell, you can't even stomach the thought of fighting people who are killing innocent civilians DELIBERATELY...

You know.. France was a Monarchy that was at war with the British at the time of the American Revolution. They could have cared less for our concept of "democracy" or self-rule.. They just saw a beautiful opportunity to separate the American colonies from their protector and ruler, Great Britain. They obviously felt the American Colonies would not be able to survive, or at most, would be so weak that they could not threaten their French empire to the West.

But had they known that the American Revolution would unleash the forces of anti-monarchical revolution in their own country, do you think they would have helped us?

In Iraq.. The US/UN overthrew the previous government and created the conditions whereby a new government could be elected and take the reigns of government for itself (certainly at the "baby step" stage now)..

And in return, we have every non-democratic state surrounding Iraq supporting insurgency and destabilization in hopes of preventing the creation of anything resembling democracy..

All because they wish to avoid the fate of Imperial France.. the overthrow of their totalitarian order and rulership by the power elite.

That's WHY there is violence in Iraq. Because no neighboring country wants the Iraqi people to resolve their differences or unite as common nation/state..

So if you want to cast a bit of friggin' blame.. Take a look all around Iraq and bitch at them....

Oh wait.. they don't give a sh*t because their not democratic and they don't have to be accountable except to themselves.
