You're in Iraq for oil, imperialism,

For one.. if there were no oil, there would be very little money available for people here to build massive militaries and wage imperialism..

But there is oil here.. And oil is important to the global economy.. We know it, AND THEY (AL QAIDA) knows it..

And it's the same reason that the entire goal of the Islamic Militants is to rule Iraq and the Arabian peninsula. Oil equals economic power...

And it was the same reason that France and Russia propped up the Ba'athist Regime in Iraq, instead of dismantling it, and putting Iraq under UN trusteeship in 1991 when we had the troops, as well as the moral high ground. Of course, our Arab "allies" would not agree to it, but it should have been put forth and voted on at the UNSC and they wouldn't have had much choice but to go along (with 1/2 million US troops in the region, how could they argue?).

And you know something else.. Japan went to war with the US over oil. We cut off their supplies because they had invaded Manchuria, and they attacked Pearl Harbor so we couldn't interfer with their occupation of the Burmese and New Guinea oil fields.

So get over it.. oil is an essential part of our global economy...

Remember Abu Ghraib? Note that there are even more horrific photos and videos from that horrendous incident.

No.. my memory is too crowded with images of Beheadings and the carnage from massive suicide bombings conducted by Zarqawi's fanatics for me to remember Abu G. But I guess you don't spend much time looking at those images, now do ya?

Btw, where's the anger over those beheadings and bombings??
