I have researched the IO infusion players and as far as I can tell Pyng is the only serious sternal option (jamashidi needle is not a serious competitor in my opinion) . All of the other IO infusion devices use the Tibia as the primary insertion location with the ankle, wrist and shoulder as alternate sites. I do not think there is any chance that the FDA would approve any other device for sternal insertion unless it has depth control which all of the other devices lack as the depth is either manually determined or roughly set (BIG red or blue). In the sternal site depth control is a critical factor with very little room for error.

Best Regards
Jack
