That old saw doesn't wash. It was a lousy war to get into in the first, in the sense that a gargantuan coalition force was the only way to go. Look how America is hamstrung now internationally because of going it pretty much alone. Why the rush to invade Iraq? WMD threat was not real, nuke threat not real, Al Qaeda connection not real, etc... Hey, and whatever happened to chasing Osama bin Laden. He was America's real threat, and by gosh, look, he's still at large.
