Free shipping schemes, but impose a "handling charge"? Missed shipment dates? Lousy tech support? No tech support unless you pay extra? Goofball pricing schemes? Pay for a Warranty over 1 year?

For about a year, Dell has been quietly pricing their product at a premium to HP and the other name brands. The wide array of ways that Dell has tried to segment the market has hidden this fact, but slowly the market is catching on. Dell's history is that their market share gains have almost always been price driven, so it isn't surprising that market share losses are also price-driven
