"I won't ever vote for the GOP again until it cleans up its act." Since you claim to hate corruption you will not vote Democrat. It must be lonely out here is far left land. I know you don't believe it but the level of corruption is much higher in the GOP. Worse......the party has been hijacked by the radical right. And its showing. Given the behavior of Bush and other Republicans, the party currently has the support of roughly 35% of Americans. With those numbers, you won't be winning many elections in the future.
