Your impression is incorrect. Judith Miller wrote quite a bit about WMDs - false information fed to her by Scooter Libby.

That is what made the ouster from the club so dastardly. She told the truth and it was not what the NY Times wanted people to hear, so they pilloried her.

At least Jason Blair did something wrong to deserve his mistreatment.
