So he arranges his wife to give him a trip to Nigeria just so he can "prove" the Bush administration wrong and perhaps get a better position in a future Kerry administration. Kerry lost, so there went that idea.

Where did you come up with that?

I don't understand. Joe Wilson was a career diplomat. He was an ambassador to Gabon [I think] under Bush I. Why would he want to look good to the CIA? Given his background, that would not a reasonable career move.

So he arranges his wife to give him a trip to Nigeria just so he can "prove" the Bush administration wrong and perhaps get a better position in a future Kerry administration. Kerry lost, so there went that idea.

Certainly, an imaginative perspective............but if true, I would say Wilson is a serious and very speculative gambler. When this all happened, Kerry hadn't been picked yet to run for president.

Well, he didn't "prove" it. He proved it. Or at least he was right.

It was Niger, not Nigeria.
