You truly are like the fellow screaming at the Knights of Nee to come back and fight, though you've lost your limbs. Comparing statements you've made against statements from the link I provided, it is crystal clear that it is ludicrous for you to pretend you have achieved checkmate here. You still FAIL TO PROVIDE THE LINK in which the General tells that 2 units got worse, in the real world! The generals generalizations you cling to, are seen in the link to encompass an explanation you don't like given what you've been saying and continue to say, namely, getting the evaluation process straight, as I suspected indeed. The whole picture you painted is egregiously against what the General and Rumsfeld have reported. Go ahead, link us to the actual congressional testimony, and quote your quote. Did you lie when you said you had it? Show me you didn't lie. Re: "the fact remains that we will not be able to withdraw our troops...my main concern here...until the Iraqis are ready to do this for themselves." That's fine. Be sad that we don't yet have more independent Iraqi battalions. Be sad that it takes time. But why write inferring we have gone backwards when the report is that we've created 100 battalions, over 75% of which are out there fighting and doing more and more work and gaining experience, all the time? Because you want to, and you believe leftist writers who commit incredible sins of omission (as you should be learning here) to make ludicrous statements which simply do not comport with reality. But you do look silly, IMHO. I guess the steady progress with Iraqi troops, so vehemently noted in that press conference, will have to march on without you. Dan B.
